Hazardous Materials Transportation (DOT) (12 hour initial and 8 hour refresher)
This class meets the training requirements of 49CFR Parts 172.700-704. It is designed for those responsible for preparing Hazardous Materials and Wastes shipments for air, water, highway, and/or rail transportation. Classroom material covers classification, preparation of shipping papers, packaging, marking, labeling, compatibility and load segregation. Hands-on training includes preparation of both national and international multimodal shipping papers, packaging, and load compatibility.
Hazardous Materials Transportation (IATA) (8 hour – satisfies initial and refresher training requirements)
This class meets the training requirements of 49CFR Parts 172.700-704. It is designed for those responsible for preparing Dangerous Goods shipments for air transportation only. Classroom material covers classification, preparation of Dangerous Goods Declaration and Air Waybill, packaging, marking, labeling, compatibility, and load segregation.
Hazardous Materials Transportation (IMDG) (12 hours)
The training covers how to navigate and apply the unique International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) to ship hazmat/dangerous goods by vessel. This IMDG Code hazmat training will help satisfy function-specific training mandates for professionals with responsibility for overall compliance with domestic or international hazmat/dangerous goods (DG) vessel shipping regulations. Hazmat training is required within 90 days for new hazmat employees. US DOT and the IMDG Code require training for hazmat employees every 3 years (49 CFR 172.704 & IMDG 1.3.1).
DOT Supervisor Drug and Alcohol Signs and Symptoms (2 Hours)
The DOT requires employers to provide training for supervisors of safety sensitive
employees. This training includes specific information on the physical, behavioral, and
performance indicators of probable drug or alcohol use in order to help supervisors recognize and address hazardous employee behaviors. Throughout this course, attendees will complete two hours of supervisor training. One hour will be dedicated to drug use and one hour will be dedicated to alcohol use.
