This half-day course educates students on the principles of equipment care and the procedures for inspecting commonly used items excluding specialized permanent systems. Who should attend?
Course participants are those who may be involved with a managed fall protection program, including the tool crib operator, inventory manager, safety personnel, and worker. The course material will provide students with an engaging and effective learning environment. The training provides experience, methodology and in-depth look at all standards (ANSI & CSA) and regulations (OSHA) covering inspection of personal fall arrest systems. Understand the manufacturers’ inspection requirements. Identify proper storage principles and the options available. Discover inspection documentation and record keeping requirements.
Fall Protection Authorized Person – 4 Hour Program
This half-day course will provide an overview of fall protection principles and the essential equipment components used in a basic personal fall restraint or arrest system. The course includes challenge questions, workbook exercises, and other interactive instructional techniques to enhance student learning.

Who should attend?
This training program is suited for those who work at height in a specific situation with an established approved anchor point using basic connectors and body support as well as gives the authorized person the opportunity to participate in the most active, hands-on, solutions-based training available. Fall Protection Competent Person Refresher – 8 Hour Program
This refresher training will concentrate on the skill sets of a Competent Person. This one-day session will not only include a review of previously learned course content but will also highlight any recent changes and developments to regulations, equipment standards, and best practice. The instructor-led program will guide students through the prescribed curriculum using a series of workshop activities.

Fall Protection Industrial Rescue – 8 Hour Program
This one-day training program will educate students on the fundamentals of industrial rescue and the basic techniques used to retrieve a worker suspended in a fall arrest system. Participants will learn course content through a combination of direct instruction, workbook exercises, and multiple ‘hands-on’ rescue skills workshops. A fall protection system is only effective if the ability to rescue the suspended worker is planned for and available. Reg: 1910.30 – G, 1926.503 – C
Who should attend?
Course participants are those who would assist in the retrieval of a worker while under the supervision of a competent rescue leader.
Dropped Objects Fall Protection Training – 4 Hour Program
Objects dropped from height can result in severe personal injuries, equipment damage and tool loss, yet these hazards are often overlooked in planning for workplace safety.
In this hands-on interactive course, participants will learn how to implement drop prevention solutions by applying the ABCs of Fall Protection for Work Tools.
Fall Protection Competent Person – 16 Hour Program
This 16-hour Competent Person level class on fall protection is to ensure that supervisors can identify anchor points, conduct annual inspections, train workers on understanding the importance of using fall protection when working at heights. This class includes an overview of OSHA and State of Alaska fall protection regulations and fall protection equipment including the limitations and proper wear and care of the equipment.

This three-day course educates students on the various components of a worksite fall protection program and will also help develop the skills required of a Competent Person. Participants will learn course content through a combination of direct classroom instruction and multiple workshops.
EM 385-1-1 is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers updated to align with ANSI Z359
