MSHA Part 48 Subpart A Underground Miner 32-Hour Course

This 32-hour initial course is designed for new underground miners, including mining of coal and metals.  The initial course does not include the final 8 hours to be conducted at students’ mine site following the completion of this training.  This course covers miners rights, recognizing and reporting hazards, work duties, transportation and communication, barricading, and other requirements of the 30 CFR Part 48 Subpart A.
