Disaster Recovery Training

This free 7-hour course is sponsored by the Alaska Rural Water Association.

This training is designed to help participants take ownership in learning how to resolve their current and future problems related to disasters in order to promote a sustainable future.

This course covers preparedness, strategies and tactics for disaster planning and recovery, plan implementation and risk management.  We discuss Alaska’s historical disasters and discuss strategies specific to many probable disasters and communities.  We also cover regulations and government entities, as well as the water grants program.

This class provides 0.7 CEUs for water and wastewater operators
