EPA/AHERA Building Inspector Certification (24 Hours)

This 24 hour seminar is open to anyone desiring training in identification, inspection, sampling, and assessing asbestos materials in buildings.  It is required for all AHERA inspectors and management planners, and is recommended for project designers, school administrators, maintenance personnel, asbestos coordinators, engineers, project managers and project monitors.  Includes hands-on training and a field trip.

EPA/AHERA Building Inspector Refresher (4 Hours)

This seminar is open to anyone who needs the EPA/AHERA Inspector Annual Refresher course.  It is required for all AHERA Inspectors.

EPA/AHERA Management Planner Certification (16 Hours)

This seminar is open to any person certified as an EPA/AHERA Inspector.  It is also required for all AHERA management planners, and is recommended for project designers, school administrators, maintenance personnel, asbestos coordinators, engineers, project managers and project monitors.

EPA/AHERA Management Planner Refresher (4 Hours)

This seminar is open to anyone who needs the EPA/AHERA Management Planner Annual Refresher course.  It is required for all AHERA Management Planners.

EPA/AHERA Project Designer Certification (24 Hours)

This 24 hour seminar is open to anyone desiring training in the fundamental technical information related to asbestos abatement project design that can be incorporated into written specifications.  This course will serve as a technical supplement of asbestos work practices recommended for project designers, school administrators, maintenance personnel, asbestos coordinators, engineers, project managers and project monitors.  Includes a building walk through, survey, and a design workshop.

EPA/AHERA Project Designer Refresher (8 Hours)

EPA regulations require that persons who design a response action in schools, public or commercial buildings be accredited. This course satisfies the annual re-certification requirements for those who have received the AHERA Project Design Accreditation.

Asbestos Abatement Certification for Workers, Contractors, and Supervisors (40 Hours)

This seminar meets the requirements of the State of Alaska DOL 8 AAC 61.600-790, Federal OSHA, 29CFR (1910, 1915 and 1926) and the Environmental Protection Agency 40 CFR Part 763 Subpart E.  It covers the basics of asbestos abatement work through lectures, video, and hands-on workshops.  This certification is required for all workers, contractors and supervisors, and recommended for health and safety professionals, maintenance and custodial personnel, school administrators, engineers, and project managers in the asbestos field engaged in Class I or Class II operations.

Asbestos Abatement Refresher/Renewal (8 Hours)

This seminar is open to anyone who needs to refresh or renew their State of Alaska Asbestos Certificate.  It is designed to review the material covered in the 40 hour certification course; cover new rules and regulations passed in the last year; and discuss problems encountered in the field, new abatement techniques, and safety and health issues.

Asbestos Awareness Training (4 Hours)

This training meets the requirements of Federal OSHA 29CFR 1926.1101 and EPA 40CFR 763.92 at the awareness level.  This seminar covers the basics of asbestos for maintenance and custodial work through lectures, video, and slides.  This training is required for all maintenance-custodial personnel engaging in Class IV activities.  Note:  Since this class is facility specific it may be conducted on your site.

Asbestos Operations and Maintenance (16 Hours)

This training meets the requirements of Federal OSHA 29CFR 1926.1101 and EPA 40CFR 763.92 for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) training.  This seminar covers the basics of asbestos for O&M activities through lectures, video, and slides.  This training is required for all maintenance personnel engaging in Class III work.  Note:  Since this class is facility specific, it may be conducted on your site.

Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Refresher (8 Hours)

This 8-hour refresher course meets the requirements of Federal OSHA 29CFR 1926.1101 and EPA 40CFR 763.92 for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) training. The refresher reviews the material covered in the initial course and reviews new and updated regulations, practices, and tools of the trade.
